What is the Fund Finder?
What is the Fund Finder?
The Fund Finder is a searchable database of project preparation facilities – funding organisations that provide financial support for infrastructure projects in Africa, covering the energy, water & sanitation, transport and ICT sectors.
The Fund Finder can help African entrepreneurs, project promoters and managers locate potential sources of project preparation funding. By entering information about, for example, the size of your proposed project, sector and region or country, you can identify institutions that might be interested in the opportunity to consider providing financial support for the preparation phase of your project.
The institutions in the Fund Finder are members of the Project Preparation Facilities Network, and they are dedicated to supporting infrastructure development in Africa.

Who manages the Fund Finder?
The Fund Finder was developed by the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) and it is a service provided by the Project Preparation Facilities Network (PPFN). The ICA manages the Fund Finder in co-ordination with the PPFN secretariat. DBSA held the secretariat previously and this is currently being held by NEPAD-IPPF. The PPFN secretariat is held by a member of the PPFN and rotated periodically.
While the ICA and NEPAD-IPPF try to ensure that information in the Fund Finder is correct, they cannot guarantee the accuracy of the data, which is supplied by the funding facilities.

How can I protect confidential information in fund finder ?
Funding facilities are responsible for managing the information about their institution that appears in the Fund Finder. The data within the Fund Finder is generally also available on a funding facility’s website and/or in their annual reports. It is therefore publicly-available information and should not contain any material that is commercially sensitive or confidential.
The Fund Finder is convenient because it presents information about a number of institutions in one location and is searchable. This is of tremendous benefit to project developers and managers seeking project preparation finance and support.
