Angola: Railways to Help Develop Zambia's Economy

Luanda — The Zambian Foreign minister, Given Lubinda, said Friday in Luanda that the rehabilitation of the Angolan railways will help develop the economic and social environment in the countries of the African southern sub-region like Zambia.

Given Lubinda was speaking at a meeting he had with the Angolan minister of Transports, Augusto da Silva Tomás.

The Zambian official received from Augusto Tomas detailed information about the ongoing programme of rehabilitation and modernisation of transport infrastructures, with stress to the Benguela Railway (CFB), the expansion of the Lobito Port, construction of the Catumbela airport and reactivation of the Lobito Corridor Office.
