ICA Assessment of Project Preparation Facilities for Africa

22 April 2012

Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA) have been appointed by the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) to undertake an Assessment of Project Preparation Facilities for Africa.  This work forms part of the ICA’s ongoing deliverables under the G20 process.  Preliminary results of this study will be presented at the ICA Annual Meeting and G20 Summit in June 2012.

The objective of this evaluation is to rank the performance of existing infrastructure project preparation facilities in Africa and provide recommendations to produce more effective and efficient facilities  (e.g. merger/consolidation, syndication, harmonisation, rationalisation and/or restructuring, etc.) to facilitate the development of both national and regional infrastructure projects, from public, private and Public-Private Partnerships.
