Two Chinese enterprises chosen to rehabilitate airports of N’djili and Loano in DRC

Two Chinese enterprises have been selected by the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to carry out works on rehabilitating and modernizing two airports.
The signature of contracts between the Régie des voies aériennes (RVA) and the Chinese enterprises Sinohydro and China First Highway Engineering Co. (CFHEC) took place last Tuesday at Kinshasa, reports the newspaper Le Phare.
Sinohydro had been awarded the contract for civil engineering works and equipment at the international airports in N’Djili (Kinshasa) and Luano (Lubumbashi).
China First will for its part be carrying out works on rehabilitation of the runways and taxiways and the lighting systems at Luano.
The RVA is conducting a vast program for the rehabilitation of airport infrastructures at all the airports in the RDC, reports the newspaper Media Congo.
Its mission is the construction, improvement, maintenance and operation of the airports and it is also in charge of aviation safety.
