Financing Electricity for Growth in Africa, Tunis, 12 December 2006
29 November 2006
A high-level meeting on "Financing Electricity for Growth in Africa", organised by the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA), and hosted by the African Development Bank, will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Tunis on 12 December 2006.
The meeting will bring together key decision makers from global energy companies, law firms, investment banks, Ministerial and senior-level representatives from African countries (including power pools and utilities), with senior representatives of multilateral and bilateral donor agencies.
The meeting will provide a platform to enable focussed business discussion on electricity projects, from across the continent, which would benefit from private sector participation now and in the medium term. In addition to providing investment opportunities, the meeting will also be an excellent opportunity for networking and information sharing between public and private sectors.
The energy crisis facing much of the African continent deserves high-level attention and changes to the way we all do business. This senior-level meeting will be an important step in bringing together key actors to facilitate investment and dialogue.
If you are a private company with business interests in the African power market, please feel free to contact Donia Ben Saad for further details.
